Married to the MOB x Nike Dunk Hi Sample.

When working on their collaboration with Nike, Married to the Mob went through a few samples based on luxury brands. One of the samples used Burberry’s trademark plaid pattern. Good thing they scrapped this version. The white/patent black colourway they went with turned out much better.

Update: Leah has stated that these are not MOB Dunks. They were part of the Canal Street pack that Nike scrapped, but they have absolutely no ties to MOB.

Married to the Mob x Nike Dunk Hi.

Married to the Mob have gone through their share of collabs in the past. Their latest is arguably their biggest to date. They got together with Nike on a Dunk Hi. It features a simple white sole and midsole with a white woven cotton upper set off by a black patent toe guard and gold accents. Limited to Tier 0 accounts, the shoe releases this Saturday at Patta.

Hellz x Reebok Mid Top.

Just recently we got a look at the Hellz x Vans sneakers, and now it looks like my favourite brand has gotten together with Reebok on some Mid Tops. The sides are decorated by studs, and they have a fold-down ankle that reveals a Hellz graphic. The insoles read “I’m ten steps ahead of you”. Stay tuned for more news.

Hellz x Vans

I was so surprised today, when I began my regular rounds through the blogosphere and stumbled onto a collaboration between two of my favourite brands: Hellz and Vans! Here are two pics, but unfortunately they aren’t the best quality, but hopefully we’ll get a more detailed look at the two sneakers shortly. Until then, stay tuned!

Comme des Garcons x Converse Chuck Taylor

Finally a Converse collabo that has my interest. The brand got together with Comme des Garcons, on a Chuck Taylor Hi and Low in two colourways each. As can be expected, Rei Kawakubo didn’t over complicate things this time around either, and simply placed the trademark heart on the side of the shoes. They begin releasing this month at Comme des Garcons’ New York, Paris, London, Hong Kong, and Seoul stores. Come October, they will be available at select Converse retailers.

Nike Air Structure ‘White/China Rose-Neutral Grey’

Nike has come out with a new Air Structure for the ladies. This white/china rose-neutral grey colourway is definitely one of the better Structures seen recently. You can get them now through Purchaze.

Air Jordan 60 Plus ‘White/Red Plum/Black’

A new hybrid from the Jordan camp is the Air Jordan 60 Plus, paying tribute to Jordan’s over 60 point games. The shoe combines the Jordan I, II, V and VII. Considering they combined four sneakers into one, they still kept it simple, which is a good thing. The colourway is great too, but I could never pull off wearing Js.

Adidas Top Ten Hi Sleek.

Adidas aims to please the ladies with their Top Ten Hi Sleek model. It’s more streamlined than the chunky Top Ten, which makes them much more wearable and versatile. Here we see a classic white/black/gold colourway.

Nike Womens Blazer Mid - Pink/Sail.

Spotted these dope Nike WMNS Blazer Mid in a pink/sail colorway over at Sneaker News via Osneaker.com featuring a premium mesh on the entire upper in pink. The outsole is matched with a sail colorway to give the shoe some contrast. These will be limited to select Nike retailers when they are released in a few months. I’m going to be on a lookout for these, dope!

Here we get a look at a new Blazer Mid for the women. It sports a pink/sail colourway. I love the material and the monochromatic upper.

This reminded me of a time when I was in Milan – there was a similar competition by Havaianas – to turn their trademark slippers into works of art. A group of us each took the blank white slippers, while concocting the things we can do to them. In the end, only one of us submitted though – procrastination got the better of us. Which is probably why Rule 3 exists.

The typical human foot is an anatomical marvel of evolution with 26 bones, 33 joints, 20 muscles, and hundreds of sensory receptors, tendons and ligaments. Like the rest of the body, to keep our feet healthy, they need to be stimulated and exercised.

Many experts believe the shoes we wear not only cast the foot in a protective form, but also weaken our foot and leg muscles, leaving them underdeveloped and more prone to injury. And while there are many occasions where traditional footwear is essential for protection, safety, and security, it is equally important to stimulate and exercise the foot in a more natural state on a regular basis.

That’s why we recommend wearing FiveFingers for exercise, for play, and for fun. Stimulating muscles in your feet and lower legs will not only make you stronger and healthier, it improves your balance, agility and proprioception.
